and Services Alzheimer's Disease "Stand By You" Program The Stand By You program is a collaborative partnership of services offering hope and help to individuals with Alzheimer's Disease or dementia, your caregivers and families, as you face complex issues A complete network of services is available at no charge, providing information and assistance, counseling, education, training and respite services for caregivers desiring temporary relief. Whether you have just discovered that you or someone for whom you care has Alzheimer's Disease or dementia, or if you have been coping with issues associated with Alzheimer's Disease for some time, the Stand By You Program is here to help. Personal Assessment Talking with a skilled Family Advisor will help you become aware of your needs and concerns. The Family Advisor will help you address these issues. Monthly Orientations Monthly orientations provide general information about the disease process and steps to take. Nine Week Training During the nine week training course, you will learn:
Counseling Relationships and responsibilities change over time. Talk over your concerns with a trained counselor. Respite for Caregivers To give caregivers a break from their responsibilities, respite is available in home or outside the home. Program Partners Program partners are committed to helping you and your family with personal, social and physical challenges.
