Aging Disability Resource Center and Services

ADRCs serve as single points of entry into the long-term care system for older adults and people with disabilities. Sometimes referred to as a “one stop shops” or "no wrong door" systems, single entry points address many of the frustrations consumers and their families experience when trying to find needed information, services, and supports. ADRC programs raise visibility about the full range of options that are available, better coordinate aging and disability service systems, provide objective information and assistance, empower people to make informed decisions about their long term supports, and serve as convenient entry points for all public and private long term-care programs and support services. The ADRC website provides virtual options counseling for the public to assist with determining their long term care planning needs. In the next year, the ADRCs will be expanded and become an integral part of the services provided by the Area Agency on Aging in partnership with the State Independent Living Council and the Developmentally Disabled Council.
